Formal Graduation Ceremony (cap & gown) June 8, 2013

Our formal graduation will be held at Holden Chapel in Holden, Massachusetts on June 8, 2013. All are welcome to come and hear a great speaker as well as to hear about our fine graduates.

A graduate recognition ceremony took place during the evening general session of the convention on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the DCU Center with convention keynote speaker Rick Green of Wallbuilders.

Our 24th annual Christian Homeschool & Family Discipleship Convention happened on April 25 - 27, 2013 at the DCU Center and the Hilton Garden Inn in Worcester, Mass. Our annual Used Curriculum Sale for 2012 was a huge success, held at Chapel of the Cross in Westboro, conveniently located near the Massachusetts Turnpike. Over 24,000 items were available for sale or in our room full of free items. More than $20,000.00 of sales were processed on behalf of individual sellers. The sale is one of the highlights of our year as hundreds of homeschoolers seek out bargains for the next school year. Every year thousand of items, including loads of free ones, find new homes. Stay tuned for information about this year's sale and make plans to be there.

CRITICAL ISSUES

Parental Rights:

This is an issue of great importance to homeschoolers everywhere.  Parental rights are increasingly threatened as more members of our judiciary begin to take cues from international law and custom.  These are decidedly unfriendly to homeschooling. Charter Schools:

MassHOPE opposes any federal or state funding initiatives to support charter schools or other types of “public school at home” programs.  Such programs undermine total educational freedom of parents. For further information on this subject, we suggest the DVD "The Trojan Horse" which explains these programs from our perspective. The DVD is available for $7 from MassHOPE.
